Many clients are impressed by our autonomous driving demos, but they quickly follow up with a very practical question: "What happens if it pours rain? What if it's 40°C in Dubai or -20°C in Northern Europe? Can it still run?"
This is a critical concern. If a logistics vehicle can only operate on sunny days, it cannot support a real-world commercial supply chain. Today, I want to explain how we built a truly Durable Autonomous Vehicle.
1. Core Metrics: IP55 Rating and 300mm Wading Depth
Outdoor logistics environments are harsh. Vehicles must handle more than just bumps; they must face torrential rain and localized flooding.
IP55 Industrial Protection: Our vehicle’s casing and core sensors are IP55-rated. This means they are protected against dust ingress that could cloud precision sensors and are resistant to water jets from any direction. It continues to "see" clearly even in heavy downpours.
300mm Wading Depth: Urban flooding or puddles are common. Our chassis and powertrain are specially sealed to support a wading depth of up to 300mm, ensuring safe passage through flooded road sections after a storm.
2. Temperature Extremes: Testing from -30°C to 60°C
Batteries and sensors are sensitive to temperature. To make our vehicle a true All-weather Delivery Robot, we implemented specialized thermal designs:
Active Thermal Management: In high-heat environments (up to 60°C surface temperature), our active cooling system ensures that the LiDAR and computing units don't overheat. In freezing conditions (-30°C), the battery heating system kicks in to ensure range remains consistent and performance doesn't drop.
3. Safety Redundancy: The Final Line of Defense
Beyond algorithms, physical hardware security is paramount.
Smart Electric Locks: Even when the vehicle is unattended outdoors, its rugged body and cloud-authorized e-locks prevent cargo theft.
Physical Obstacle Compensation: In cases of extreme fog where visibility is near zero, ultrasonic sensors and physical bumpers provide the final layer of safety redundancy.
Environmental Adaptability Specs

True logistics automation should not be at the mercy of the weather. Through high-standard industrial engineering, our IP55 Waterproof AMR ensures that your supply chain stays moving 365 days a year, regardless of what's happening outside.
